We have a team of in house level 1,2 and 3 playground safety inspectors and auditors to ensure your designs meet these standards and who work closely with our product development team.
Some free advice: It is important to consider, no matter who it is that you choose to work with as your playground supplier, that they adhere to these standards before proceeding with any purchases. This will save you potential problems once in the development and certification stages!
Design process
Our onsite specialists will liaise with our safety officers and designers to make sure that all relevant Australian standards are met, while still adhering to the allocated budget. Our graphic designers will then bring the concept to life using the latest 3D animated technology to construct an immersive experience of your playground before any construction has taken place. This piece of the process allows us to bring your idea to life and get any feedback you have on the direction of the project.
Installation
Once construction begins we make certain to match the build itself to the 3D concept, while ensuring the project runs on time and efficiently. We then have our experienced team do a final check to ensure all Australian standards are met and that the build is in line with our own personal standards as well.

Inspection of playground equipment and surfacing is defined by various Australian Standards with the aim of preventing hazardous situations which may cause serious injury to playground users.
Fixed offers a wide range of inspection & testing services in line with Current Australian Standards, as well as the recent changes to AS4422 and AS4685, to ensure that playgrounds are compliant and fit for purpose for the end users.
Our inspections are conducted by fully accredited, and regularly recertified, in-house Level 3 inspectors who will provide you with a written report detailing any maintenance or modification recommendations, non-compliance issues. Should any critical items be uncovered, FIXED can provide you with recommendations & resolve the issue and ensure that the work meets the appropriate standards.
Inspection Types
Prior to commissioning any new playground and opening it to users, a comprehensive inspection, which includes impact testing, must be conducted by a certified playground inspector. Thereafter, regular visual & operation inspections can be offered, with periodic impact testing, which will ensure that playground surfaces are able to perform as expected and remain compliant.
Impact Testing of Playing Services
Modern playgrounds have seen an increase in play structure size and complexity requiring appropriate impact performance of playing surfaces. Fixed offers onsite and drop testing of all Softfall surfaces (i.e., wet pour, mulch, shock foam). Fixed can prepare risk assessment ratings in line with the Risk Matrix and highlight any compliance issues and provide you with further recommendations, or detailed quotations for corrective action.
Service Level Agreements
Fixed offers service level agreements which provide peace of mind that playground areas are tested as needed, and compliant with relevant Australian Standards.
